Ingredients:
– 2.5-3 cups flour
– 1.5 cups sugar
– 2 sticks butter, softened
– 1kg tvorog
– 3-4 eggs
– salt
– Raisins, dried apricots, nuts, etc (optional)
Directions:
– Combine flour and 1 cup of sugar
– Rub the butter into the flour and sugar and set aside
– Beat the egg whites
– Add a pinch of salt to help stiffen the peaks
– Slowly add remaining sugar, egg yolks, and tvorog while continuing to beat mixture
– Fold in any additional ingredients such as nuts or dried fruits
– Press crust into the bottom of a pie dish
– Pour in filling
– Cover with remaining dough
– Bake at 350 until golden brown
